Serial No: B4743 (From some research and speaking to other sax specialists I believe this dates between the 40's to 50's)

The saxophone has just had a COMPLETE overhaul including all pads, springs, felts/corks from a top technician. It comes as a full outfit including a choice of mouth piece (listed below) and an all leather selmer gig bad (heavily padded with seperate neck/accessories pouch).

The horn has a great full sound which is aided by the large bell flair. The keywork feels fantastic and is very smooth, all mother of pearl key touches are intact and it has an overall solid feel.  

This is a really good example of a vintage horn with a big sound and feel. The laquer has wear throughout but is consistant with an instrument of its age and the original finish only adds to its charm. I am unwillingly having to part with this sax due too it being not used enough and sat around and I have several others.

Great horn for jazz players and I have used this horn in a big band line up and solo/small combo work alike. I have personally played this tenor with a Berg Larsen 110/1 SMS stainless steel which gives the horn a massive sound and it stood up well in a soul/funk band horn line.#

If you are looking for that authentic 'mark 6' vintage tenor sound then this is the way to go without the huge price tag!

My son wanted a sax for eighteenth birthday present, 12 lessons and a few months later he decides its not for him.  The instrument is fully working and is in immaculate condition.  Hardly used.  It has no dings dents or scratches.  It comes with a case, a beginner’s book which teaches the basic playing skills, 7 reeds (5x 2 ½ and 2 x 2 rico royal), a neck strap and silver polishing cloths. Royal Mail – Very small/low value parcels are be sent via Royal Mail, we use their First Class service so most arrive 1-2 days after our despatch confirmation. Royal Mail Tracked - Medium sized parcels will be shipped using Royal Mail Tracked (48 Hour) Service. You will receive your tracking information in an email directly from Royal Mail. No signature is required and if you are unavailable to receive delivery the parcel will be left at your local Post Office for you to collect. DPD – Larger/Higher value shipments will be despatched via DPD, who will email/SMS you directly to confirm the delivery date (usually the Next Working Day after your goods leave us). They will also provide you with an estimated 1 hour delivery slot so that you don't need to wait in all day! Pallet – Extra large items or large multiple orders are shipped on a pallet using the Palletways network which normally takes 2-3 days. Our warehouse team will contact you in advance to arrange a convenient time for the delivery to take place.

International consignments are shipped using a number of different       couriers/freight forwarders depending on the final destination. Companies used regularly include Royal Mail, DPD, UPS, TNT & Palletways. Our shipping regions are split into four Zones: UK, Europe, North & South America and Asia. 

Normans offers a 14 day return period for any items ordered that are no longer required/have been ordered in error. You must notify us via email of your intention to return within 14 days from receipt of your goods (not the invoice date). The goods must be in an as new condition and returned, at your cost, with the original packaging. Tunetape is an aggressive pressure sensitive tape for fine tuning notes on the pipe chanter. Purpose made for Bagpipes, it offers superior resistance to heat, moisture, humidity and cold. Each roll is 5 metres * 11mm, very thin so you hardly feel it on the chanter, clear so it's unnoticed by others and can be reapplied many times. Tunetape leaves minimal residue and won't damage your pipe chanter or clog the holes. Tunetape is no ordinary tape, it is unique for the use on Pipe Chanters. It outlasts any other chanter tape available.

Using Tunetape for fine tuning and making adjustments is easy. The tape is strong, flexible and movements to the smallest millimetre are possible. Also, by adding pressure when reapplying increases Tunetapes aggressive hold on the chanter. Sonata is a brand name used by a very large instrument retailer (Normans) on many of their student level instruments, although this clarinet is in fact manufactured by Hanson, in Yorkshire.

Hanson make a wide range of top quality clarinets, from student level at £399 right through to their Professional T6 Rosewood Bass Clarinet at £5899!! 

This instrument is a very similar spec to the Hanson HE3 model, right down to the very smart Storm 'Sportpack' case.
