Introducing the new Rico Reed Case for Double Reeds - the only case designed to work with the Reed Vitalizer Automatic Humidity Control System (HCS).

Each case holds 5 oboe or bassoon reeds on mandrels.Simply insert the enclosed Reed Vitalizer pack into the lid, and your reeds are guaranteed to be stored at the proper humidity level. The Rico reed case is the only system that offers 2-way humidity control.

Each Reed Case comes with one Reed Vitalizer 73% control pack which offers medium level humidity. This eliminates placing reeds in water and require minimal wetting. Simply moisten reeds in your mouth and they will be ready for normal use.

Returns can be made within seven working days of receipt of goods. Please contact us for a returns number first. Goods must be: a) Clearly labelled with the returns number provided by Windband Ltd. b) Sent back via a postal service that is recorded (i.e. the post is signed for) or trackable online c) Received by Windband Ltd in an undamaged and fully resalable condition. d) Buyers are responsible for paying the postage costs of any unwanted item.

This Oboe is in excellent condition. It was bought several years ago and has barely been used. I cant bare to see it sit in the cupboard any more as its such a waste. I have had it checked out and have been advised that it is worth £1,000 (brand new ones go for £1,600- £2,000). So this is how much I have put it up for however feel free to make your best offer and I will consider! I have cleaned/polished it, everything looks in perfect working order. Only the case shows small signs of age. Comes with cleaning rods and cloth however no Reed im afraid.

We are professional oboe reed makers based in coastal Suffolk, established for over 20 years.

Our reeds are handmade and individually tested to a consistently high standard. We make a range of strengths suitable for all players.

All our reeds are made with hand gouged and shaped Cogolin cane, tied on to 47 mm. brass staples.

Our medium-soft reeds have a good body, a responsive and good tone, and good intonation.They will suit intermediate players and upwards.

SERIAL NUMBER 8557 (or 1 - hard to tell from the stamp)

This lovely instrument is, as seen in the photo, quite old, in that it is in wood. It was made in Italy and is hand-stamped 8557, but the 7 could possibly be a 1, it is hard to be totally certain. I contacted T.W. Howarth, a high-class London instrument shop, about this instrument. Their chap said Howarths imported these oboes from Italy and finished them there. He said it was a English system oboe. I previously listed this as a Boosey oboe, which I had been told was the case, but the man from Howarths corrected this, hence me removing the listing as being inaccurate.

Needless to say, everything works fine, the pads are fine and there is no loud clicking in the keys.  There is some pitting of the key covers in places.

The case is functional, but, as the photo shows, not a thing of great beauty! There is a tear on the bottom.

Threre is no reed, there is a reed case, as shown.

I have had it for a couple of years but it has hardly been used, and has been kept in very good condition.

It measures approximately 118cm in length and approximately 8cm in width.

Handcrafted and Painted in Australia.

I bought this Didgeridoo in Sydney whilst travelling Australia in 2007 from a company called Dreamtime Native Arts and Crafts.

Comes with origional label/Tag and an extra pice of beeswax for the mouthpiece.

It is in good condition as has only been use a handful of times. Has the odd tiny mark from general wear and tear and the beeswax has a bit of a dent in it but there is a spare piece of beeswax which can be applied to solve the problem it just never bothered me so thought it was best to leave alone.

The Didgeridoo is 102m long.

The top mouthpiece is a 3cm diameter hole.

The bottom is a 4cm diameter hole and the thickness at the bottom is 1.5cm.

It is handcrafted by Aborigonal people with dots and a kangaroo.

It has bark on the bottom section and is ant eaten to hollow the inside.

This is a gorgeous Didgeridoo and i will be sad to sell it but it seems a waste me having it as i am not very good at playing it and it is just stored away.

From a pet and smoke free home.
