This alto saxophone is ideal for beginners.  So if you or your child are thinking about learning, it is perfect for you!   It has no writing on it to indicate a make or model, but I am told that it is most probably an elkhart.  It has a butterfly logo on as shown. Included with this saxophone are: A black hard case. A mouthpiece A Ligature to hold the reed 6 Rico Royal Strength 4 Reeds A "Pepper Pot" (Mouthpiece Cover) The mouthpiece has no make or model details, and is probably the one that was originally with the instrument. One spring is bent as shown in the pictures.  This does not affect the sound or playing in any way. It comes with a box of 6 Rico Royal Strength 4 reeds.  At least 4 of these are brand new - never used.  You will probably want strength 3 reeds or less for this though - 4 is very strong - especially for beginners, but as they came with the instrument, I am giving them away with it. I have tested the saxophone.  It has a loud, bright tone.  The lower notes need to be played firmly.  The upper tones are really bright, and I found it easy to get up into the very high register (harmonics). This is a great, reasonably priced instrument for beginners.
